To maintain the freshness and quality of Jain & Iyer batters, store them in the refrigerator at all times. Idli, Dosa, and Ragi batters can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days, though many customers find they remain good for a week. Ensure the batter is kept in an airtight container to prevent contamination and preserve its flavor. For Vada batter, store it in the freezer, where it can be kept for up to a week. Always use the batter within the recommended shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacture, and avoid leaving it out at room temperature for extended periods, as this may lead to spoilage.

While the ingredients used in our dosa batter and idli batter are similar, there are key differences in their texture and consistency to ensure the perfect dosa or idli every time. Our dosa batter is slightly thinner to achieve crispy and golden dosas, whereas our idli batter is thicker and fermented to perfection for soft and fluffy idlis. Rest assured, each batter is specially crafted to deliver the authentic taste and texture you love.
